Take an epic journey through the first 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios history when you watch Wondrous Journeys, an epic nighttime spectacular complete with fireworks. The show transforms Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, and the facade of “it’s a small world” into a canvas that displays some of your favorite Disney stories, songs, and characters.

Queue

There isn’t a traditional queue for Wondrous Journeys since it’s a fireworks show. Guests can grab a spot anywhere along Main Street, U.S.A. is the most popular, but there are also viewing areas in front of “it’s a small world” where you can catch special projections.

There is typically just one showing of Wondrous Journeys each night it’s scheduled. Guests will usually begin queuing up (or grabbing seats along the parade route) about an hour to an hour and a half before the start time.

Is Wondrous Journeys Kid-Friendly?

Wondrous Journeys, like any fireworks show at Disneyland, is absolutely kid-friendly. However, it’ll really depend on your kids’ ages if they enjoy the show.

The fireworks are typically held late in the evening, which can be past bedtime for younger guests. Additionally, if your kids are frightened by loud noises or fireworks, you may want to pack noise-canceling headphones for them to reduce some of the noise.

Best For: Any age group that’s comfortable staying up late in the evening.
