Head out into space and fend off swarms of Imperial TIE fights as you fly through the galaxy on Hyperspace Mountain. This Star Wars-themed dark roller coaster includes some of the best touches from the films and series, like an Imperial Star Destroyer, an elite X-wing squadron, and plenty of appearances by Imperial vessels (and even an appearance by Admiral Ackbar.)
Note: Hyperspace Mountain is an attraction overlay that only appears for a limited time. In years past, Disneyland’s Space Mountain has been transformed into Hyperspace Mountain for the Star Wars-inspired Season of the Force event in 2015 and 2024, as well as for May the Fourth quite regularly.Â

Is Hyperspace Mountain Kid-Friendly?
Hyperspace Mountain isn’t an attraction you’ll want to ride with little kids – but it’s perfect for older tweens and teens who are ready for some thrills.Â
Kids will need to meet the height requirement before they can ride, and they’ll want to be prepared for a dark coaster with no track visibility. However, compared to many other thrill rides (like the Incredicoaster), it’s smooth and relatively tame albeit fast.
Best For: Tweens and teens who love fast thrill rides with unexpected drops, twists, and turns.
Will Hyperspace Mountain Cause Motion Sickness?
Because Hyperspace Mountain is a high-speed roller coaster with some drops and corkscrew-like turns, it may cause motion sickness.
