Walt Disney World – The PERFECT Vacation Starts HERE!

Are you planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Need some help? It’s OK, everyone needs help when planning a trip to “The most magical place on earth.”

Meet Dad – He’s Here to Help

Hi. My name is Carl Trent, or as I’m called around here, Dad, and I love Walt Disney World. It’s my favorite place anywhere.

When it comes to a Walt Disney World (WDW) vacation, I’ve been there, done that and made all the mistakes. My goal in life is to help people avoid the mistakes I’ve made. In the immortal words of Billy Swan, “if you’ve got a problem, don’t care what it is, if you need a hand, I can assure you of this, I can help.”

Are you going to Walt Disney World? Start Here!

The first thing you need to do is figure out the best time to go to Walt Disney World. It sounds so easy, but a lot goes into it. Don’t worry Dad can help. Check out my when to go pages:

Off to a pretty good start, right?

When you think about when to go, you might want to look at some of the special times or events that really enhance trips to WDW. Disney has special events almost all year long. My favorite is Christmas at Disney World.

Time to Choose Where to Sleep

The second big thing you have to do is figure out where to sleep. I’m partial to Disney hotels, to staying in the Magic, but there are options:

I could create a bunch of pages with all the hotels around the Orlando area, but I’m lazy and think it’s better to stay in the general vicinity of WDW.

Now the fun begins…

The Parks – Time to Play

The whole reason to go to Walt Disney World is to visit the theme parks. Right? So of course Dad can help with everything you need to know about the Theme Parks.

But the Theme Parks aren’t the only parks at Disney World. There are also two of the best Water Parks on earth!

And last, but not least (I don’t think you can say any of these are least), there’s Disney Springs which is an AMAZING, shopping, restaurant and entertainment area.

The parks really are the heartbeat of Walt Disney World.

Dining – Let’s Eat

When it comes to eating at Disney World, there are some things you need to know about. First you need to know about the restaurants, second you need to know how to make Advanced Dining Reservations, and lastly you need to know about the Disney Dining Plan.

It sounds a little daunting, but really it’s not so bad. Those links will be very helpful. Trust me.

Tools for YOUR Vacation

To Plan a Disney World vacation you need to know how to use FastPass{

Disney has provided lots of great tools to help you plan your vacation and take away the stress when you are in the parks. What they don’t provide is a guide to how to use the tools. That’s were I come in. Like any good tool, the Disney tools are for specific purposes.

Let’s see if I can help you understand how to use the great tools Disney provides for a Walt Disney World vacation.

Everyone needs to know how to use My Disney Experience, Disney Transportation and FastPass+, and if you are staying in a Disney Hotel, you will want to know all about Extra Magic Hours.

Making Reservations and Buying Tickets

OK, now that we have the basics down it’s time to get serious. It’s time to make reservations, get tickets and such. It’s pretty easy, but there are some things that will help including using our Disney Travel Agent Partner, Destinations to Travel.

It’s always a good idea to add a Disney Cruise to your trip! Just sayin’.

Help From Dad

Like I said in the beginning, if you have a problem, I can help. There’s several ways, you can ask me questions (and I really answer them), you can check out the latest on our blog and more.

That should keep you busy (and hopefully entertained) for a while.
