The Oasis at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The Oasis serves as the entrance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, all leading up to your first initial view of the magnificent Tree of Life. While this area of the park doesn’t have any rides, as you enter, you’ll notice several animal exhibits available as part of the land. The land leads into Discovery Island, where you’ll find the Tree of Life as well as the majority of your shopping options.

We’ll be sharing everything you need to know about The Oasis at Animal Kingdom.

The Oasis Attractions

While there are no rides in The Oasis, there are several animal exhibits to look out for. These include the chance to spot animals such as:

  • Animal Exhibits: Spot babirusa, spoonbill, anteater, and more.

The Oasis Dining

Table Service Restaurants

  • Rainforest Cafe: Located right near the entrance, this immersive dining experience is great for the whole family.

Snack Spots, Carts, and More

  • Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company: Located right after the security line and before you scan your ticket to enter the park.

The Oasis Shopping

  • Garden Gate Gifts: Pick up a few small essentials, such as fans, cooling towels, and more.

The Oasis Entertainment

While there isn’t much entertainment in the entrance to the park, you will potentially spot one very special character exclusive to Animal Kingdom!

Characters

  • DiVine: A character covered in vines who perfectly camoflauges into the nearby plant life.

Guest Relations

Towards the front entrance to the park on your left, you’ll find the Guest Relations building where you can meet with a Cast Member to speak about any issues. This is also where you’ll find:

  • Lost and Found
  • Locker Rentals

Stroller and Wheelchair Rentals

You’ll find Garden Gate Gifts on your right when you first enter the park. This is where you can rent ECVs, strollers, or wheelchairs.

Restrooms

Restrooms in the land are located at the following locations:

  • Main Entrance Restrooms
  • Oasis Area Restrooms

PhotoPass Opportunities

While it may vary by day, here are a few locations where you may find PhotoPass photographers:

  • Animal Kingdom Entrance
  • Up Frame (located to the right after going through security)
  • Oasis Bridge to Discovery Island
