The Muppets are taking over the Magic Kingdom. That’s right, the Muppet show has come to, of all places, Liberty Square where The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History.

It’s the history of America told in true Muppet style. Since it’s the Muppets, you know there will be a few “wokka wokkas” to go around!
The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History
As I said in my review of the Hall of Presidents, “Sorry Mom, but yes, the kids will be bored.”
While parents love that Liberty Square oozes history, the kids aren’t here for history, they want characters, characters, and more characters. Who better to entertain the kiddos than (drum roll, please) THE MUPPETS! You heard that right, The Muppets in Liberty Square!
Dad is a huge Muppets fan! Muppet Vision 3D is one of my favorite attractions in all of Disney World. The Muppets fit perfectly in Liberty Square.
Still not sure?
Trust Dad.

What to Expect
The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History features a town crier and a cast of Muppets who tell stories about, as the song says, “great moments in history, but just the American parts.”
Depending on which show you attend, you will see either “The Declaration of Independence” or “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.” Just like any time The Muppets take over, everything goes a bit wrong.
Between Miss Piggy wanting a bigger part in the show, Fozzie telling jokes, and Gonzo with his chickens, The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History . . . isn’t accurate history, but it definitely adds to the magic in Liberty Square.
The show is full of music, fun, and Muppet mayhem and is sure to entertain.

Viewing Location
The show takes place in the windows above Liberty Square. Go to the Hall of Presidents and stand a bit to the right.
Crowds do gather to watch the show but don’t worry, you won’t miss out on the fun. Because shows occur many times throughout the day and the outdoor nature of this show, you won’t miss out even if you stop while walking to another attraction.

Fun Facts
The following Muppets appear in both versions of the show:
- Kermit
- Miss Piggy
- Fozzie Bear
- Gonzo
- Sam Eagle
The original version of this show had Sam Eagle interacting with guests. During development, the other Muppets were added to make the show more entertaining.
The Muppets are made 5% larger than the ones used for film and television since the show takes place far away in the windows of Liberty Square.

Dad’s Bottom Line
The buildings in Liberty Square are a little limiting, but The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History is cool. Or as Dad might say, it’s Simple. it’s Fun and it’s a little Magic.
