The Winnie the Pooh ride is the Magic Kingdom’s most debated ride. It replaced a long time favorite of many people. Some of them still howl in protest.
No matter. Pooh is a cute ride for the little ones. They get to be Christopher Robin and ride in a Honeypot through a colorful adventure.

The Preshow
Disney World usually does a great job of keeping guests entertained (at least visually) while waiting in line. Here there is not a lot of preshow.
Dealing with crowds
Crowds are always a problem in Fantasyland. This ride is no exception. To avoid the crowds, try to ride early in the morning, or during one of the parades. Lines tend to calm down in the evenings during and after dinner.
The Attraction
The Winnie the Pooh ride is perfect for small children riders hop into honey pots for a ride through the Hundred Acre Forest. Riders interact with many characters from the story including: Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Gopher, Kanga, and Roo.

- Replaced Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride to a howl from Mr. Toads fans.
- Look for Mr. Toad hand the Owl the deed in one of the paintings
- Ride can also be found at Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland.
History
Winnie the Pooh opened in Fantasyland in 1999. It replaced Mr. Toads Wild Ride. There continues to be a contingent of Mr. Toads’ fans clamoring to bring back Mr. Toad.

Dad’s Bottom Line
Alas, Mr. Toads Wild Ride is long gone. But the Winnie the Pooh ride is a worthy replacement. Youngsters and parents will enjoy it. Teens, not so much.
