Holiday Wishes is one of the biggest, most expensive, and definitely the loudest, Christmas productions at Walt Disney World. It takes the best fireworks show anywhere and turns it into a magical Holiday experience.

“Wishes” used to be the nightly fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom, before Happily ever After took over. At Magic Kingdom, fireworks are performed almost every night of the year. Not just any fireworks shows, these are full of special, special (no that’s not a typo) effects. Fireworks dance to the music and turn the sky into a canvas and projections on Cinderella Castle make the story come alive. During the holidays, on selected nights, the regular show takes a break and a special show – Holiday Wishes – takes over.
When to see the show
The Holiday showing of Wishes can be seen as part of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The party is a specially ticketed event where most of the rides are open, there is cocoa and cookies served and there is even a snow storm on Main Street USA.

Also, it’s shown most nights from December 21 through December 30. You can be see the show, usually, around 9:00 pm.

About the show
The holiday version of the show highlights holiday music with the fireworks show. Jiminy Crickett narrates the show and there are snippets from traditional Christmas carols like “I’ll be home for Christmas”, “Oh, Christmas Tree” and many more. Mickey and friends make appearances through the show.
And of course there’s a big finish.

Where to see it
The best place to see the show is from Main Street USA. It’s best if you have a good view of the castle and can see around the park. The best views are around Casey’s Corner (if you aren’t blocked by the trees) and right in front of the castle.
If you aren’t in the parks, you can see the show from any of the resorts on Seven Seas Lagoon. The beach at the Polynesian Resort is Dad’s favorite place to see Holiday Wishes.
