Check out the prem-“ear” of Mickey and Minnie’s latest cartoon short, “Perfect Picnic,” at the El CapiTOON Theater in Toontown and a whimsical, zany ride all in one on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Part animated world, part hilarious romp, this is a classic dark ride with modern twists and technology (and one very fun cartoon-centric time!).

The queue for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is entirely indoors, and it features plenty of hidden gems (and Hidden Mickeys). 

As you wind your way through the lobby of the El CapiTOON Theater, you’ll have a chance to check out  details and props from iconic Mickey Mouse shorts over the years, plus some uniquely Toontown touches, puns, and references. Keep your eyes peeled for those Hidden Mickeys – they’re everywhere in the queue.

Guests must transfer from wheelchairs and ECVs to ride, but a transfer device is available. Designated transfer and load areas are also available.

With no height requirement and a relatively slow-moving vehicle, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is quite kid-friendly. It’s suitable for all ages, and any kid who loves Mickey and Minnie will adore the wacky and hijinks-filled storyline, complete with cartoons.

Even the littlest guests will enjoy a ride on this Toontown attraction, though parents will want to note that it is a dark ride and has some loud sound.
