February Disney World Crowds

Low crowds (for the most part), low temperatures, an EPCOT festival, a runDisney event, and 2 holidays make February a fantastic month to head to WDW.  Plus, if you’re traveling with your princess or prince charming, there’s no better place to have a Valentine’s Day date night than at Walt Disney World.  Disney Springs, Deluxe Resort restaurants, EPCOT in its entirety, the list of choices could go on and on!

Dad’s Guide to WDW Crowd Calendar Disclaimer

This calendar is based on historical facts as we know them today, and personal experiences. Walt Disney World is an ever-changing destination and you might find the crowds, weather, or seasonal experiences to be different from what we’ve predicted.

How to avoid February crowds

February Disney World crowds can usually be avoided with a few simple tips.  But, please keep in mind that if your personal schedule only permits for you to travel to WDW during the “busier” times of the month, that is okay!  This is still such a fantastic time to visit WDW–there is so much going on and so much excitement in the air, it all makes dealing with the heavier crowds worth the extra navigation.

If you can steer clear of visiting during the week of Presidents Day, avoid visiting EPCOT on Saturdays while the Festival of the Arts is happening, and maybe even the Disney Princess Half Marathon if you want to be extremely careful, you should be fully in the clear to have the most perfect trip possible!

February Events

  • Disney Princess Half Marathon – This is one of the biggest runDisney events of the year and can cause some congestion in some areas of the parks impacted by the race(s).  If you’re visiting at this time, be sure to check the race routes and times in advance to best plan your day.
  • EPCOT International Festival of the Arts – Since its debut in 2017, this has become my personal favorite annual EPCOT festival. From getting to interact with Disney Artists to fun photo-ops allowing you to step into famous works of art—and the visually pleasing, tastebud-approved food and drink offerings, it is a true must-do!
