Bay Lake at Disney World

Bay Lake at Walt Disney World Resort serves as a recreational area for The Contemporary Resort, the Wilderness Lodge Resort and Villas, and Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. You can find fishing and all kinds of boating at the marinas of Bay Lake.

One of our favorite things is taking the whole family out on a Sea Raycer. It’s a great time. You can and speed over to Seven Seas Lagoon and see the Magic Kingdom up close, you can check out the old River Country and Discover Island (both closed). Great guided fishing experiences are also available.

Check it out.

There is an island in the middle of Disney World’s Bay Lake. It’s called Discovery Island or Treasure Island. It was originally a place to view exotic animals. It was closed in 1999. Rumors abound about the fate of this prime real estate. Stay tuned.
