Characters are a big part of the Disney Experience and they can be found in every Disney park. For unique character meet and greets, however, you’ll want to head on over to Animal Kingdom. Only here can you find Jungle Book characters hanging out, such as Baloo and King Louie…..look for them at UpCountry Landing!
Want to meet Rafiki up close and personal? Hop a train to Conservation Station! Don’t be surprised if you see classics like Chip n Dale in the Conservation Station Courtyard. (Remember, Chip is the one with the dark nose!) I know for a fact, they love it when you recognize them by name!
Discovery Landing is home to Daisy Duck, but you won’t find Donald here; he hangs out over at Cretacious Trail; tell him Daisy says HI…he will get a big kick out of that! Along the Discovery Island Trail you’ll find Pocohontas, but only occasionally since she’s often in the forest looking for food and firewood.
Discovery Island is home to Dug and Russell’s Wilderness Explorers Club House. They love interacting with the kids and you’ll want to be sure to have your camera and autograph book handy!
Of course, Mickey and Minnie have their own little spot at Adventure Outpost as well as Goofy and Pluto at Dinoland USA Service Station. This is the only park where they wear their wilderness finest, always ready for their next adventure! Hint: lines may be a little shorter in this park to meet Mickey!
Probably the most unique “character” you will see, if you look really hard, is DiVine. She is a tall, vine-like stiltwalker that blends in so well with the foliage, that many guests do not even notice her until she moves or rustles her leaves. She’s definitely worth seeking out and usually hangs out on the walkway between Asia and Africa and sometimes can be seen on the Oasis. Ask a Cast Member if you have trouble “seeing” her.
Character appearances are always subject to change and be sure to check the times guide and/or your My Disney Experience app for up to the minute times and locations. Remember to always have your pen and autograph book handy for them to sign and of course, your camera. Have a wild time!
