Arctic Expeditions

by | May 28, 2025 | Dining, Quick-Service Restaurants, Walt Disney World

Are you on your way towards some wild water action at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park when you find yourself in need of a small smackerel of something to answer the rumbly in your tumbly? And perhaps a refreshing beverage to wash it down (quite possibly one of an adult nature)? If you’re looking for the kind of satisfaction one can only get from a dining establishment whose menu knows only one meal, and that is “SNACK”, then welcome, my thirsty friend, to Arctic Expeditions!

Arctic Expeditions Location

As you make your way in from the main entrance of Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, you will encounter a small cluster of snacktacular, quicker-than-quick service establishments of the “cart” variety. The most stylish of these is Arctic Expeditions, fancifully presented as a “snowmobile bar offering craft beer, specialty churros, roasted almonds, roasted pecans and more”. (It’s really more of a big, yellow snowplow or snowcat, but yes, you heard me correctly, they do have beer here).

It’ll be easy enough for thirsty Disney Moms and Dads (and their Mousketeers who may be snacky throughout the day) to find their way back here as the day proceeds, as Arctic Expeditions is conveniently located near to one of the “in or out” stations for Cross Country Creek, the park-encompassing lazy river that will help you work up a thirst in need of refills (which conveniently and cleverly, Arctic Expeditions does offer!)

Is Arctic Expeditions Kid-Friendly?

Obviously, the awesome-looking yellow snowcat that sells chips for $3.29 is appealing to children, but is it cost-effective or the sort of thing a responsible Disney Dad feeds his kids? For me, the whole business is redeemed by the least “snacky” option, the  Turkey Sandwich Kid’s Pack, which includes Sliced Roasted Turkey Breast and Cheddar on Honey-Wheat Bread with Apple Chips and Grape Tomatoes served with a choice of Small Lowfat Milk or Small DASANI® Bottled water.” At $7.79, it’s a pretty kid-friendly option to give the littles the energy they need to have a splashtastic day at Disney’s Blizzard Beach.
