Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining

by | Dec 5, 2024 | Dining, Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland, Pixar Pier, Table Service Restaurants

Looking for the Lamplight Lounge experience, but couldn’t get a reservation? There’s another way to enjoy the creative concoctions of this guest-favorite restaurant: Head to Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining instead.

Part table-service restaurant, part lounge, Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining is a slimmed-down and entirely outdoor version of its full-service counterpart. Here, the focus is more on shareable bites for adults and cocktails, but you’ll still have a chance to try those famous nachos and secret menu drinks.

Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining Location

Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining is located right at the entrance to Pixar Pier. It’s the first building underneath the land’s marquee. However, instead of entering through the Lamplight Lounge doors, you’ll walk past them and find the Boardwalking Dining at the back half of the building.

It’s important to note that Lamplight Lounge and Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining are two different table-service restaurants. Lamplight Lounge is the fancier of the two, with an indoor dining room and waterfront patio. Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining is attached to the rear of Lamplight Lounge, but this upstairs patio offers a more limited menu and does not offer advance dining reservations (ADRs); it’s walk-up only.

Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining Menu

Intended to feel like a modern gastropub’s outdoor lounge, the menu at Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining is just as creative as its sibling restaurant’s, both in presentation and flavor combinations. Here, you can enjoy some artistically-inspired entrées, cocktails, mocktails, and more fall day long.

However, the menu is smaller when it comes to food options. You will find different fare here, along with some Lamplight staples, but overall the menu is slimmed down.

But if it’s exciting drinks you’re looking for, the selection of cocktails and mocktails on the menu at Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining is excellent. From comforting childhood-inspired cocktails for brunch that taste like your favorite cereal to unique drinks inspired by films like Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc., there are so many fun options to consider.

Is Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining Kid-Friendly?

While the food leans more adult than kid-friendly at Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining, this restaurant is a total feast for the senses – and very family-friendly. Remember, this is more of a bar or lounge than a traditional restaurant, so there are fewer options for kids in general.

However, kids will enjoy how much there is to see and explore from the patio’s vantage point at Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining. No matter where you’re seated, kids can check out cool scenery (the Incredcoaster’s launch will entertain them all meal long!), and even people-watch all down Pixar Pier.
